Spring Safety Tips for Outdoor Adventures

Spring invites more time outside—but it also introduces new risks. Whether it’s bugs, plants, or unpredictable weather, a few precautions can keep your pet safe and your outings stress-free.

1. Flea & Tick Protection:
Parasites become active again in March. Get ahead with vet-approved prevention and perform regular checks after outdoor time.

2. Know the Plants:
Many spring bloomers—like daffodils, tulips, and lilies—are toxic to pets if eaten. Keep an eye out on walks or in your yard.

3. Watch for Lawn Chemicals:
Fertilizers and weed treatments can burn paws or cause illness if ingested. Stick to pet-safe areas or rinse feet after exposure.

4. Hydration Is Key:
With warmer temps and more movement, always carry water—especially during longer walks. Dehydration happens fast in active dogs.

5. Don’t Trust Unfenced Areas:
Even well-trained pets can dart after squirrels or get distracted. Keep leashes secure unless in a fully enclosed area.

Outdoor fun should never come at the cost of safety. If you need help with walks, yard-time visits, or post-play cleanup, we’ve got you covered.
